| Involving local stakeholders in the management planning process - creating a local area partnership | We work mainly with local people. Most of our employees are local. We also buy most of our external help (labour as well as products) from the locals. We also work closely (and pay) the volountary workers within the local birdclubs and sportclubs for different services. Once a year (early September) we arrange a full-day-activity for the locals. The tourist offices in the three neighbouring cities work as hosts in one of our two Visitors centres. |
| Involved in European networking / Twinned with other site for knowledge exchange | We work for instance within an Interreg IIIB- project called BIRD (acronym). The project runs 2004-2007. We have also been working with other projcts in Latvia and Lithuania (Zuvintas Biosphere Reserve) |
| Branding Natura 2000 | Yes. We have the Natura 2000-logo on our information signs around the lake. Still not on our wevbsite, I´m sorry to say, but we will rebuild our website during next winter. Then the logo will be on the first page - of course. |
