Yes.
Although our NNR plan is primarily aimed at the restoration of the centre
of the Moss, the outer parts of the site are in other private ownerships
where owners have different management objectives. The plan recognises the
importance of not only using the restoration of the site to promote the
value of bogs and why alternatives to peat should be used in gardening to
the public, but also of using this growing groundswell of support for peatlands
not only to provide a boost to the local tourist economy, but also to influence
the additional land owners to be more sympathetic to mire managment. |
